Wild blueberries, frozen banana, almond milk, and a drop of lavender. Calming, antioxidant-packed, and beautifully purple.
Simmer equal parts water and sugar with 1 tbsp dried culinary lavender for 5 minutes. Cool completely. Strain. The syrup should smell floral โ not medicinal. Too much lavender makes it taste like soap.
Add frozen blueberries and banana to blender with almond milk. Blend high 60 seconds. Add lavender syrup, vanilla, and honey. Blend 10 more seconds. The colour should be deep, saturated violet โ almost unnatural.
Pour into a clear glass โ the colour deserves to be seen. Top with fresh blueberries, a sprig of lavender, and a swirl of honey. The visual contrast of the deep purple with white honey is deeply satisfying.
